Now to tell you a little about myself, I am an Australian, residing in Northern Victoria. My husband Noel and myself are the very proud parents of 4 adult children.
Our eldest Grant, is an electrical engineer and has been living overseas for the last 15 years.
Our second child, is our only daughter, Anita. Anita has a bachelor of building and is working for a Melbourne based firm.
Our third child Ross, is a physicist and is now working in the field of acoustics and based in Bahrain.
The youngest of our brood, Stuart has completed university in Melbourne doing Electrical Engineering.
2010 was a very special year for Noel and myself as our darling granddaughter, Asha Leo Burton was born in January 2010 and 2011 saw the arrival of another delightful granddaughter, Camille Leo Burton arrived in May 2011
Breeding and the exhibition of Champion Pomeranian dogs is a passion that I have enjoyed for nearly 40 years.
Working on graphic and web design is an additional, very rewarding interest.
Having worked with Computers since the late 1960's, I am a very early and enthusiastic adopter of technology.
During the late 60’s I worked for a major bank, as an accounting machinist. I remember we used IBM machines. These accounting machines were really just very basic calculators, the size of a small refrigerator.
This bank had the first computer used by a Bank in Australia and one of the first computers in Australia. I was selected to work at Head Office in Sydney in 1969 and came in daily contact with this computer “ Fabacus” and it’s workings. I enjoyed working right in the heart of Sydney's centre, living in Cremorne and traveling to work each morning by Ferry.
I bought my first home computer in 1983, a sharp MZ -3540 ,which runs the CP/M operating system. Closely followed by the purchase of a commodore plus/4 for my children. I still own and occasionally use these vintage computers. One room of our home is computer graveyard, being chook full of atari ST’s, commodore amiga’s, various 486’s and parts.
My children had the advantage of being second generation computer users. My oldest son travels the world, working in many exciting locations developing software for major international companies .
The arrival of the internet transformed my life. Personally, I think that the internet is a significantly greater event than man walking on the moon. The Internet has become a tool utilized by millions of people everyday. What might we do devoid of the simplicity of banking, paying bills etc over the internet? In the forseeable future, the Mobile Internet will additionally bring numerous changes to our lives and lifestyles.
The internet provided a global presence. Dochlaggie Pomeranians was the second Pomeranian website to go live on the world wide web.The very first site is no longer online, therefore Dochlaggie Pomeranians happens to be the earliest established Pomeranian Dog Site on the internet.
Many high profile celebrities have purchased our Pomeranians. A Saudi Princess purchased a little cream princess Pomeranian. Shipping to Saudi Arabia was quite a challenge, as only working dogs are allowed in Saudi Arabia. The Pomeranian needed to be certified as a "guard dog" before she was authorized entry to Saudi Arabia.
Another Dochlaggie Pomeranian is owned by an international model. An international cricketer purchased a Dochlaggie baby for his girlfriend ( to keep her company while he was overseas playing for Australia).
One of Australia's prominent dress designers is the very proud Mother to two Dochlaggie Pomeranians. One Pomeranian is a black and white parti colour, the other a black Pomeranian. This lady has everything in her home black or white, so what other colour Pomeranian, would she want to own?
The list can go on and on of celebrities that now own a Dochlaggie Pomeranian.
I enjoy web development and graphic design and have spent many hours since the mid 90's learning to create the web sites I desired.
2006 saw the arrival of the mobile web via "mobi" sites. I now have over 60 mobile websites developed.
Mobile websites are developed for users who wish to use the internet on a mobile phone.
Two of our mobile web applications have had the huge honour of being featured on mobi mtld's site showcase. To our knowledge, I am the sole Australian web developer to have been accorded this honour.
During 2007 work commenced on more mobile web applications, with the development of the worlds first art, antique, beauty, dog, shetland sheepdog and pomeranian mobile web applications.
2012 is now here and I am still focusing on mobile web application development.
Sites designed to be viewed on your mobile phone, smart phone, iPhone or iPad type devices.
